A Spiritual Enema!
It’s time to clean yourself out. How much garbage have you eaten in the past year. The average American eats 65% to 75% processed foods. White flour, sugar, corn syrups and food coloring. You don’t even want to know how much pop we drink.
Now lets think about other things that we consume, not necessarily with our mouths and stomachs but with our eyes and ears. I am definitely not some type of spiritual cop but think about what we allow our eyes to see and our ears to hear. We can feel sick and tired if we consume the wrong foods. We can also feel sick and tired spiritually if we consume the wrong things in our live.
Fasting is a way to “clean out” the garbage that is in our bodies. Drinking water and eating fruits and vegetables can bring some major health benefits to our physical lives. The Word of God and prayer can bring major health benefits to our spiritual lives. Let’s get cleaned up this year physically and spiritually.

New Year, New House!!!!
We recently have taken a step of faith and when I say faith I mean FAITH!!!
We bought our first house in 2005, that was a step of faith in itself. Over the years we have added on, knocked down, turned over, painted and changed just about everything in the house. This past year of 2011 we finally got the house to a point that we were happy with and then along came a friend. About the same time we were buying our house some friends of ours were building their dream home. They lived in their new house for a year when God called them to minister in another area of our state. They were a bit surprised at this feeling they had but they went for it and moved down to a town called Bucerias. They have been there now for 4 years, they have a beautiful church, actually 5 churches, a beautiful house and God has prospered them. In the four years that they have been down in Bucerias they have tried to sell their dream home as well as rent it but all with no good ending. In October they talked with Azucena and I and asked us if we wanted their home. Of course we did but we had no money to buy it. So they gave us the keys and said “take it and live in it”. When we sell our home we can give them the money…. There is absolutely no pressure from them and they have even joined us in prayer for the sale of our home.
So we did it, we moved a few days ago and we are in our new home…. PLEASE PRAY FOR THE SALE OF OUR OTHER HOUSE!!!
We know that all things are possible for those who BELIEVE!!

Life and friends!!

“Even though we’ve changed and we’re all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we’ll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we’re not all still friends.”

I read this quote the other day and it got me thinking about my life and friends and people that I have come across in life’s journey. Facebook has reunited me with some friends from the past. I have ended up deleting many because that is exactly what they were “friends from the past”. It’s not a bad thing, we were friends a long time ago but life goes on and i hope they are all doing well.

I am still in contact with a lot of my friends and i am proud to call them friends. My friend Joe and i went a 10 years without seeing each other and when we finally met up a few years ago it was like we were never separated. 

A lot of things could separate friendships like religions, political interests and even music style but a true friend can look past all that junk and just appreciate the person for who they are.

So get on Facebook, look in the phone book and try to find some of your friends from the past. Life is too short to pass it alone.

We are building again!!!
The building in Las Varas is under way. This is our biggest project yet. I have actually been afraid to start it, now I don’t want to stop. God has always shown himself faithful even in the toughest of times. Lets believe God that this building will house a wonderful, growing congregation. That it will be a place where teenagers will be set free from drugs and alcohol. Where kids can go and learn about Jesus with their families. It has begun!!!

REVIVAL
What does revival look like, what is it??
Being revived just means that something dead or close to dead has been given new life. We are experiencing a time of revival and refreshing here in Tepic in all of the La Fuente churches. Kids, youth, adults, everyone seems to be alive again with the Spirit of God. I guess I don’t know how to describe it. I think it is something that just needs to be experienced.
Pray for us because throughout history churches don’t know how to manage revival and they end up loosing a lot of the people that came to know Christ.
God is good and we are going to enjoy this while it is happening!
